The Optimizer Setting Properties window allows you to determine Placer behavior during a window of time prior to a live log date. Superusers may activate or deactivate optimizer in Administration Server Monitor. Placer Optimizer runs for 8 hours on weeknights and 5 hours on weekend nights.
Note: Placer Optimizer will not place channel-specific spots with a revenue factor of 0. On each day, optimizer will place all-channel spots first, then single-channel spots beginning with those with the highest revenue factor.

Optimizer Setting Properties
|Station||Select a station from the drop-down list.|
|Window Start||Enter the number of days after the last finalized log date that the moving window for Placer will begin. For example, you can set this to 7, meaning that Placer will be actively re-working spots on logs starting seven days after the last finalized log date.|
|Window End||Enter the number of days after the last finalized log date that the moving window for Placer will end. For example, if you want Placer to actively re-work spots on all logs going out into the future, set the Moving Window End to a high number, such as 999.|
|Placement||Select from the following placement method, then choose the options you want in addition to the placement method.|
|•||Place Only - select this option if you want Placer Optimizer to place spots optimally. |
|•||Place w/ Bump - if this option is selected, then Placer Optimizer will displace a lower weighted spot in favor of a higher weighted spot, but will not attempt to replace the displaced spot.|
|•||Place w/ Bump + Cascade - if this option is selected, then Placer Optimizer will displace a lower weighted spot in favor of a higher weighted spot, and will then attempt to replace the displaced spot in the same day.|
|Options||Select from any or all of the below options. These options must be used in conjunction with one of the placement options listed above.|
|•||Pack - pack breaks during the nightly optimizer run to consolidate available inventory.|
|•||Place in Week - if this option is selected, then if a placement fails on a day, Placer Optimizer will attempt to move the spot to another day, if possible (without violating rotation).|
|•||Place Across Channels - select this option to have placer place spots across channels.|
